Mr. Ciminello has a BA from Tufts University and he received a Masters in Environmental Management and a Masters of Arts in Public Policy Sciences from Duke University. In addition to conducting environmental investigations on over 1,000 properties, Mr. Ciminello has lectured on environmental assessment procedures and guidelines, most recently at Tufts University and Vassar College. She oversees the financial and personnel management for the company. Ms. Ciminello has a BA from Tufts University and a Masters in Public Administration (MPA) from The University of Oregon. Katherine Beinkafner Katherine Beinkafner serves as senior hydrogeologist. She conducts hydrogeological investigations for all major projects. She reviews remedial designs for groundwater treatment systems. She serves as an expert witness and has prepared testimony for public hearings and potential legal proceedings. Ms. Beinkafner received a BS and MA from SUNY New Paltz, a MS in Physics from University of Pennsylvania and a Ph.D. in Geology from Syracuse University. Full resume Emery Lawson E-Mail Emery Lawson serves as Senior Project Manager for Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Phase II Technical Environmental Investigations, and Remedial projects. In this capacity, she conducts research to obtain field and regulatory information about the environmental status of a designated area. Her responsibilities associated with the preparation of site assessments include: investigating site histories, conducting facility inspections, reviewing regulatory agency records, documenting facility compliance with relevant State and Federal regulations, and preparing reports. As project manager for Phase II technical environmental investigations, she is involved with: coordinating subcontractors; overseeing fieldwork; collecting material, soil, and water samples; and preparing technical reports. Ms. Lawson holds a MS in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and a BS in Environmental Science from Oklahoma State University. Prior to relocating to the Hudson Valley, she served as an Environmental Engineer in an environmental consulting firm performing field work and preparing technical reports, as an Environmental Manager overseeing a food processing facility, as a Field Engineer in a Highway Department, and as an Engineer in Training in the Water Resources Department of a consulting firm. Richard Hooker E-Mail Richard Hooker serves as Project Manager for investigative and remedial projects including Brownfields sites, Phase II investigations, tank removals, and environmental management of construction projects. He also prepares and evaluates interdisciplinary, comprehensive environmental impact assessment reviews. In these capacities, he develops investigative and remedial work plans, health and safety plans, performs fieldwork, and prepares technical reports. He works with regulatory authorities and subcontractors including construction personnel, waste repositories and haulage contractors, laboratories and drillers. His responsibilities associated with these investigative and remedial projects include: investigating site histories, document reviews, cost benefit analysis of remedial alternatives, overseeing excavations and in situ remediation, sampling, sample data evaluation, and obtaining regulatory closure. He has extensive experience of sampling and sample collection protocols for soil, vapor, indoor air, sediment, and groundwater and has worked to remediate a wide range of environmental contaminants including petroleum, heavy metals, PCBs, and solvents. Mr. Hooker holds a Ph.D. from the University of St. Andrews, St. Andrews, Scotland and a BA from Staffordshire University, Stoke-on-Trent, England. Prior to relocating to the Hudson Valley, he served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Glasgow, Scotland. Along with his research skills, Mr. Hooker has extensive background in instruction/training and designing instructional materials for delivery through the Internet as well as traditional media. Adam Lee E-Mail Adam Lee serves as Senior Project Manager for environmental site assessments and Phase II technical environmental investigations. In this capacity, he conducts research to obtain field and regulatory information about the environmental status of a designated area. His responsibilities associated with the preparation of site assessments include: investigating site histories, conducting facility inspections, reviewing regulatory agency records, documenting facility compliance with relevant State and Federal regulations, and preparing reports. As project manager for Phase II technical environmental investigations, he is involved with managing tank removals, coordinating subcontractors, overseeing fieldwork, collecting soil, water, and air samples, and preparing technical reports. Mr. Lee is also responsible for the design and installation of radon reduction systems to address radon in both air and water. Similarly, Mr. Lee manages the design and installation of vapor mitigation systems (e.g., sub-slab depressurization systems, soil vapor extraction systems, etc.) to address vapors associated with petroleum and other chemical contaminants, and as part of remedial efforts at designated State and Federal clean-up sites. Mr. Lee received a BS from Cornell University and holds current certification with the National Radon Safety Board (NRSB) as a Radon Mitigation and Testing Specialist. Chris Mitchell Chris Mitchell serves as Project Manager for Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and assists with Phase II Technical Environmental Investigations. Ms. Mauer received a BA in Environmental Studies from Connecticut College. Prior to joining ESI, she interned at the local Soil and Water Conservation District as a Geographic Information Systems and Conservation Intern. Colleen Rider E-Mail Colleen Rider serves as Office Manager / Project Coordinator for all work produced by Ecosystems Strategies, Inc. In this capacity, Ms. Rider provides initial Client contact and coordinates overall project schedules and subcontractor/vendor agreements. Concurrently, Ms. Rider is responsible for providing supporting communications and documentation (e.g., insurance certificates, public Agency communications) to facilitate service, delivery, and effective project completion. Ms. Rider works with internal and external parties to organize the various components needed to initiate, run, and conclude all projects.
